Aqua-safe Inc. began in Florida in 1994, founded by Dale Howes. The company has expanded tremendously along with the popularity of the pool safety nets since then.  The product was created and developed in Southern Africa in the 70's and has long been in use in that region with great success.  The safety net has evolved over the years through the collective efforts of those associated with the product.
 
 

Our goal as a company is to reach out to the public and offer them this product as an alternative to existing pool safety products.  Unfortunately until recently it seemed as though the safety nets were the best kept secret with regard to safety devices.  Most people are still unaware that the pool safety nets exist and feel compelled to utilize old techniques that have failed time and again.  Our biggest challenge to date has been the exposure of the product and educating the people as to its effectiveness.  We are fortunate to have gained recognition by associates and professionals in the medical field and pool-related industries and have experienced success through their approval and recommendation of this wonderful product.  The media has also played a big hand in introducing the pool safety nets to the public by providing many valuable articles and TV segments over the years.

Dale Howes,  a father of three, become involved in the business after receiving a net that his mother had sent him,  after she heard that their first born fell into the pool.  The incident woke him up and the stark reality struck.  Nobody is immune to this type of accident!  After much research and negotiating,  Aqua-safe was formed and the mission of saving lives began.

On the other hand the biggest thrill in this business is the reaction of our customers after we install each and every net.  It is tremendously rewarding to know that we have impacted someone's life in such a positive way by protecting their precious young.  Their appreciation is easily identifiable with their common reaction of gratitude and relief.  This feeling we get makes all our efforts worthwhile.

Although our product boasts an impeccable success rate to date, we always encourage and advocate 100% parental supervision.  This, along with common sense and other barriers will provide a pleasurable co-existence between swimming pools and families.  If more people would simply accept the responsibility of protecting their pools with pro-active measures such as this,  senseless drownings would no longer be epidemic.  Remember pool safety is no accident.
